AITP Minutes

AITP Meetings are from 12:00--1:00PM

 

 

President Chris Cameron opened the meeting up with a Brief Introduction for the NCC Conference that two Officers previously attended in the Fall of 2010 when it was at Orlando, FL.

The Officers were Kim Hensley & Hossam Aljunaidi.

A brief Introduction was given from the Officers about the Conference including their Cost, Experiences, & Travel Fares along with several Activities they participated in which were rewarded with Certifications, Etc.

It only had the option of 1 PC/person
They had an 1 1/.2 hours to complete their contest which consist of multiple topic options.

A Microsoft Office Suite Contest

 

Day Two Activities

Lunch was provided

More Testing Opportunities
A Database Contest
Database Competition Contest consisted of ERR Diagrams that had to be converted to a Database form.

Database Implementation Using SQL

DML (Data Manipulation Language)

SQL Query techniques involving Single Queries/Multiple Query Solutions.

Query I-Create a Query that list each Employees Name (Formatted as “LASTNAME, FIRSTNAME)

Query II-Format the name as Firstname Lastname with only the first letter capitalized.

Query III—Provide the names of particular Movies that have no associated parade.

Query IV—List the Movie Name, and the number of characters that appear in that movie’s parade.

IBM Exhibit Tour

The Officers toured several technological areas for IBM’s newest Server Solutions

 

The Officers took Office pictures & had to upload the pictures to an In House Server to create a game while visiting the Exhibit also.

There were safety Features installed in the Server Room that actually was designed to withdraw all Oxygen out of the room that used Water & Powder
